Business Description: Media strategy, Consultancy, Newsletter production, Live blogging/Web evaluations, Newspaper/Pull Outs, Coverage of events, Training in Web 2.0 tools/FOSS for business/Podcasting/vlogging/blogging/Social Media, Career coaching, Mentoring of Journalist/Content creation and management.

What does the company deal in:  It is a Media Company that covers conferences around the world and produces conference newspapers/ conference websites/ blogs. It also trains Journalists in New Media applications. It also provides content management services to clients. The company also trains journalists.
Competition issues: It is currently enjoying the monopoly but its faces challenges from the fact that Africa’s still prefer traditional media over new media.   
Niche: So far we are the only media organisation that covers international conferences using new media tools. When fully established we will be a leading player in this field. We would also lead in training media personnel in new media applications including in providing content management services to other organisations.
Media Industry: Major media companies in Africa now have a copy of their newspapers or TV broadcast online. Traditional Media is still expensive with print run prices rising every day. Currently, i don’t know of any media company that covers conferences apart from groups that just come together to have the job done.  The media industry makes money from advertising.  New media is a new opportunity that has gripped the media.
Team management: I work with other people based in Africa. I manage the team via emails, social media and mobile phones. All team members already have existing full time Jobs and are seasoned Journalists. All team members have unique skills as they are specialised in podcasting, blogging, video blogging and content management. It is important that all team members are equipped with all new media skills so that if one is not around it is not a problem for them to do the Job properly.
